Oil Is More Than Plentiful - It Is Renewable
CategoriesOil is made by decomposing organic matter of times long past - or is it? The theory of oil's fossil origin is but one theory, never scientifically confirmed. Abiotic oil, meaning oil of geological origin, is a renewable resource. Granted, our use of it is wasteful and polluting, and we should very well be looking around for better sources of energy.
But think about this for a moment: Could the "peak oil" scare be a put-on to keep the energy monopoly going at a brisk pace? Certainly the oil companies make more money every time the price of oil rises.
Jerry Mazza believes that . . . "someone is shilling for the American petro-brokers, because 'Peak Oil' is a wonderful concept to use to go out and war for "the control" of oil resources. So that a barrel of crude can suddenly jump from $20 to $70 to $100 a barrel, or to two, three or four hundred dollars a barrel, therefore providing exponentially expanding profits for oil companies and oil suppliers who relish the idea of having an "inelastic demand" for their gasoline."

High Oil Prices Met with Anger Worldwide
Peak oil theories wrong, says ExxonMobil boss
September 11, 2006
THE world has an abundant supply of oil, and high petrol prices are just the reality of a globally traded commodity, ExxonMobil Australia chairman Mark Nolan said today. Mr Nolan used his speech to the Asia Pacific oil and gas conference in Adelaide today to debunk the theory of peak oil, which suggests oil supplies have peaked and will dwindle over the next 20 years. Such predictions, he said, had been around since the 1920s, particularly at times of high oil prices. My comment: What Nolan does not say is that oil prices depend on production, which is very much under the control of his and other companies that are in the extraction business.
