Further to: Water Fluoridation Causes Cancer & Increases Tumor Growth Rate By 25% here is finally recognition of the toxicity of Fluoride salts. This is clearly precedent-setting following the news release below is the landmark decision of the European Court on the regulation of 'functional drinks' with regard to the practice of water fluoridation.
These are major decisions! This convergence of real science, as apposed to industry junk science, will make fluoride industry governmental and dental (mental) shills squirm.... As usual the mainstream Media is mum on the subject!
Please circulate this far and wide along with some excellent brochures from "People for Safe Drinking Water". This is immanently doable and undoubtedly one of the best ways to improve our health while concurrently removing toxins from the environment to boot! We need to create awareness to counter the mainstream propaganda and force the so called experts to stop damaging our health and environment by demanding them to simply stop deliberately polluting our water....

Attached is a news release regarding the recent, unanimous and important decision by the state of California Environmental Protection Agency to consider mandating public warnings that fluoride and its salts, used in artificial water fluoridation, is a human carcinogen.
Also attached is a submission by Dr. Kathleen Thiessen, co-author of the US National Research Council 2006 Review of Fluorides in Drinking Water to the California EPA's Office of Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA).

“a 200-page manual which was given to Conservative [MPs] instructing them on ways to obstruct the work of the parliamentary committees”, as political journalist Geoffrey Stevens and others reported. These instructions destroyed the justice committee, the ethics committee investigating the Mulroney/Schreiber scandal, and derailed the illegal campaign funding tricks the Conservatives used two years ago to get their current minority government (not to mention the destruction of Freedom of Information data base)....
..."The recent dismantling of the food inspection authority (in Harper doublespeak it was a “safety overhaul” which Liberal MP Bonnie Brown called outright “deceit”) gave many Canadians a deadly taste of deregulation when some Maple Leaf Foods products caused a listeria outbreak . The Canadian Medical Association is now calling for a full-scale public inquiry stating that the independent investigation Harper promised “will be inferior to every epidemic inquiry in recent Canadian history [because it] would be closed to public participation … the investigators won’t have the power to subpoena witnesses or documents… no public hearings are planned … [no] public report [will be] published, and … no commitment [exists] that the report will be made public or even given to parliament.” The CMA also condemned the Harper government’s lack of action on “bad animal feed containing recycled animal tissue [which] led to the outbreak of bovine spongiform encephalitis” (Mad Cow Disease), a deregulation disaster he inherited and chose to ignore."...
It has become all too fashionable to po po damages to others and simply make pretentious apologies. No intent to provide any help with damages to the injured or prevention of future abuses are even considered. When a feature length documentary film: "UNREPENTANT: Kevin Annett and Canada's Genocide" (January 2007) came out. Harper yet again made another empty apology to the natives. This was another smoke and mirrors public relations tactic whose sole purpose was damage control. Here again we see the master of deception at his best!
As usual Helke's article is superb! It captures the essence of these Government shenanigans and possible resolution and is a must read.

Elections 2008: Restoring the Health of the Nation

On September 10 the Canadian Charter of Health Freedom was launched by lawyer Shawn Buckley, president and co-founder of the Natural Health Products Protection Association which coordinated the national resistance to the Harper government’s proposed bills C-51 and C-52. Buckley has successfully defeated Health Canada in court several times on issues of patients’ rights and natural health products. He said: “This Charter is an initiative to bring regulatory sanity back to the natural health products industry… [it] lists a bunch of rights that we already have … like sovereignty of our own bodies. Health Canada has basically taken those rights away.” The Charter was launched with simultaneous rallies held in Vancouver, Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto. The NHPPA is now coordinating efforts to collect about 3 million signatures in order to make this Charter the basis of the Ministry of Wellness – as opposed to the current Ministry of Sickness, aka Health Canada with its record of passing dubious, deceptive and deadly drugs.

Action items are more effective when you also write, print out the petition and send it by snail mail, or telephone your representative directly and don't forget to be persistent! Send follow up letters and/or fax, phone and keep demanding a response on how and what they will actually do to mitigate concerns outlined. Often reading the petition will empower you to better deal with the establishment propaganda....

Here clearly is, yet again, another example of government industry collusion to introduce untested products for consumption. When problems arise they are deflected on the consumer to prove harm, instead of the rightful onus on industry to prove safety of their products. This, not so clever, tactic has essentially defrocked the consumer. Who essentially is defenceless and forced to become the industry guinea pig as little remedial or future preventative action can be made.
Surely putting their own families at risk is the height of greed and stupidity! Are the regulators so stupid not to see this? Apparently yes. Maybe it needs to be spelled out to knock some sense into these ignoramuses....

Dear Chris,
Unleashing this highly toxic potato into the environment and our food chain must be stopped at all cost and I would appreciate it if you would circulate this alert. The "scientists" who developed this toxic concoction (aided and abetted by the Michigan State University with funding from USAID - go figure!) allege that this GM potato will control the potato tuber moth, which allegedly causes the industry huge losses. The irony, however, is that although the tuber moth may chomp on potato leaves in the field, that exercise nevertheless has no effect on tuber yield and genetic modification would only become effective during storage. If tuber moths would automatically attack each and every potato field, then there wouldn't have been any need to "fly in" hundred thousands of the little chompers to conduct field trials, which, by the way, were kept secret from the South African public, thus constituting yet another violation of our constitutional right to information.
This toxic concoction poses immense health risks due to the fact that it contains the cauliflower mosaic virus, which is closely related to the Hepatitis B and HIV virus and, due to its recombination hotspot, is prone to break and join with other DNA to integrate into the cell's genome, which could activate host genes and lead to all sorts of cancers. In addition, the virus is inserted in "naked form" (without its viral coat) and thus is even more infectious and may well be taken up by mammalian cells including our own.
As if that wasn't enough, each and every cell of this potato contains the antibiotic KANAMYCIN, which crosses the placenta and produces detectable serum levels in the fetus! There have been several reports of total irreversible bilateral congenital deafness in children whose mothers received that drug during pregnancy and Kanamycin has been classified by the manufacturer as pregnancy risk category D. In addition, it also enters breast milk.
Unleashing this GM potato into our food chain will inevitably create superbugs and multi-drug resistant diseases.
Please help stop this insanity and blatant violation of our human rights.

URGENT – PLEASE HELP STOP A NEW GM CROP IN SOUTH AFRICA.
SUBMISSIONS DUE ON MONDAY 8th SEPTEMBER – PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION NOW!
The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) has been conducting field trials for several years with genetically modified potatoes, which are being pushed by the Michigan State University with funding from USAID. They have now applied to the South African GMO Council for a general release permit for the first variety of these potatoes, called Spunta G2 – meaning that the GM potato will be given to farmers to grow and sell. These potatoes are genetically engineered to contain Bt genes that produce a pesticidal toxin to kill the Tuber Moth.
Releasing these GM potatoes has the potential to wreak havoc with the local potato industry, and infringes on our basic human right to choose the food we want to eat. A growing body of research is showing that GM foods are dangerous to eat and do not benefit emerging farmers or the environment. The multinational, Syngenta, owns the patent on the key gene in this GM potato.

Your signature will be collated to send to the GMO Council as well as Potatoes SA, which is the body representing potato farmers and industry. Your signature will help to show that South Africans are not willing to eat or grow GM potatoes, and can help to sway their decision.
