Hello Everyone,
This invitation is short notice, but at a necessary time given Health Canada's published 'actions against Empowerplus' on their web site. I feel more vulnerable now than ever before in regards to my access to Empowerplus. Those of you that know me personally know that my life has been forever altered by the use of this supplement. I am only weeks away from delivering my third miracle baby. I have been well for seven years and I need to stay that way in order to raise my growing family. Health Canada's choice to refer me back to drugs and hospitalization is unconstitutional and irrational given the fact that I was never well while on drugs or standard therapies. I know that many of you have had similar experiences. I chose to send this to each of you with a personal request that you come and stand with me and the other Women with the Red Umbrellas. The impact of the Red Umbrella on Parliament Hill was good, but we need to continue in growing support and a growing voice for freedom of choice in Canada. Your presence and support would be so greatly appreciated!

The Red Umbrellas are inviting people who use or support the use of Empowerplus to bring a red umbrella and to come and stand with us in Edmonton on the 18th of July. The red umbrella is a symbol that:
1) We want Health Canada to reinstate and support research that will prove the effectiveness of the Empowerplus supplement.
2) We know that Empowerplus is managing the symptoms of our mental illness and we want to know why it works and how it works. Why? Understanding the source of the illness and the reasons that Empowerplus works may also protect our children.
3) We claim the right to maintain our personal health using Empowerplus. We prefer this over standard therapies of prescription drugs and hospitalization. Empowerplus has worked for us and we want continued access.
Please support us by joining us in Edmonton on July 18th. (All people are invited, male, female, sick or supportive). We will stand (or sit) outside the office of The Honorable Anne McLellan. Her office is at 12304-107 Ave. Edmonton. We will be requesting a meeting with her and maintaining a prescence on the lawn from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. Please bring a red umbrella. This is not a protest nor a demonstration but should be done in the same spirit of peace and wellness with which the Women with the Red Umbrellas conducted themselves on Parliament Hill. We simply want to help The Honorable Anne McLellan understand that we are rational, healthy individuals who would like to have our needs and our opinions considered and respected as decisions are being made that concern our health.
