What is Electromedicine?
"In summary, electromedicine in its various forms is fast becoming one of the primary safe, efficacious and cost effective treatments of choice as we enter the 21st century."
Like in any therapy please note:
"Electrical stimulation that is intended to effect changes anywhere in the body can only be successful if the necessary nutrients are available when the treatment is applied. For example, researchers believe that CES helps recovering addicts by stimulating the brain to make more endorphins, but these can only be produced if the requisite amino acids and other nutrients are present in the diet and in an available form. Similarly, microcurrent stimulation of damaged tissue can not instigate, or potentiate the rate of body repair if the requisite nutrients are not available at the damaged site, just as electromagnetic bone healers can not be expected to be successful if insufficient calcium is available at the fracture site, among a multitude of other required nutrients."
In addiction to improving and/or changing the diet one must also, search for, and find the cause of the affliction and remove it - or a permanent cure is not likely.
Chris Gupta
By Ray B. Smith, Ph.D., M.P.A.While the use of electricity for healing goes back more than 2,000 years, scientific electromedicine has only evolved in the past 50 years. The latest treatments involve only microcurrent levels of stimulation, often sufficiently minute as to not even be felt by the patient being treated.
Electrosleep treatment, usually involving less than 1.5 milliampere intensity, came into the U.S. from Japan in the late 1960s, which, in turn had borrowed it from Russia and other East Block countries. Since the electricity was pulsed across the head, the FDA renamed it cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) in 1978, and now allows its marketing in the U.S. for the treatment of anxiety, depression and insomnia.
A major use of CES is in the drug abstinence syndrome in which people are withdrawing from various substances of addiction, be it nicotine, alcohol, prescription drugs, cocaine or heroin. Anxiety, depression and insomnia are defining symptoms of the syndrome, and such patients benefit dramatically from the use of CES during the withdrawal period.
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), typically using a strong current of 60 milliamperes, came on the scene in the 1970s following Melzack and Wall's introduction of the gate control theory of pain in which counter stimulation could effectively close a spinal "gate" to peripheral pain messages attempting to ascend the spinal-thalamic tract to the brain. Microcurrent devices now attempt to alter or eliminate the pain message by inducing healing at the pain site, as opposed to serving as a counterirritant to close the gate to an ascending message.
Following closely upon TENS was the introduction, in the 1980s, of electromagnetic bone healing devices that are utilized to heal non-union fractures. For the first time this allows us to prevent tragedies like that of Dr. Livingston, the discoverer of the Nile, who lived the final thirty years of his life with an unhealed fracture of the arm that he suffered from a lion's bite.
So from slow beginnings in the latter half of the 20th century, we now have many FDA approved electrical devices. Some stimulate muscle contraction so that persons with paralyzed muscles can maintain muscle tone in unused limbs. Other disabled persons use them in learning to walk again, or in developing new skills in using their arms or hands, for example.
Electrical stimulators are now widely implanted in the body, such as cardiac pacemakers, electrical stimulators in various parts of the brain to prevent such things as fine tremor of the hands or whole body seizures, and dorsal column stimulators to interdict pain from various causes.
We have had electroacupuncture since the early 1970s when it was introduced from China via Hong Kong. One of the latest innovations in this area is the electroacupuncture facelift that is becoming increasingly popular.
Melzack's group has now centered their theoretical thinking on a pain neuromatrix in the brain that can fire pain messages in the absence of incoming stimuli from the body. This can account for phantom limb pain and may play a role in many types of chronic pain such as fibromyalgia and chronic spinal pain. Our latest Alpha-Stim CES research is showing dramatic improvement in pain in various parts of the body even though the current is applied only across the head.
By using Alpha-Stim technology in a combination of probe stimulation on the body near pain sites, plus CES across the head, a recent survey of 2,500 patients indicated that 94% of those suffering from arthritis reported significant improvement, as did 100% of those suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome, 94% of those suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, 93% of those suffering from chronic pain at various sites on their body, 91% of those suffering from fibromyalgia, 98% of those suffering from migraine headache, 93% of those suffering from back and neck pain, and 89% of those suffering from Temporomandibular disorder (TMD).
Another recent study of 202 chronic pain patients treated for 30 minutes or less in several medical clinics with microcurrent probes on or near the pain site on the body, plus CES across the head, showed that their pain was reduced by an average of 50% or more, and 17% were entirely pain free at the end of the 30 minute treatment period. Only 12% experienced no benefit from that length of treatment. The pain ranged from head to foot, and no relationship could be found between pain site and percent improvement. Interestingly, those who had been in pain longest showed the greatest gains. While inconsistent with pharmaceutical intervention, that has been a recurring finding in CES studies of chronic pain.Electrical stimulation that is intended to effect changes anywhere in the body can only be successful if the necessary nutrients are available when the treatment is applied. For example, researchers believe that CES helps recovering addicts by stimulating the brain to make more endorphins, but these can only be produced if the requisite amino acids and other nutrients are present in the diet and in an available form. Similarly, microcurrent stimulation of damaged tissue can not instigate, or potentiate the rate of body repair if the requisite nutrients are not available at the damaged site, just as electromagnetic bone healers can not be expected to be successful if insufficient calcium is available at the fracture site, among a multitude of other required nutrients.

Hi ChrisCould you please give me the remedy for migraine headaches, my wife gets these consistently!! You had mentioned organic yogurt mixed with what I forget?? Thank-you
------------------Hi Gerry,
Here is a little compilation (not complete by any means) of remedies:
Making the Magnesium-Migraine Link
In addition to magnesium, get some live organic yogurt and add a capsule of Vitamin B100 complex plus add 100 mg of B2. Make sure it is not a tablet. Mix it thoroughly and let it sit overnight you can leave outside the fridge if you like, then eat it next morning. After a couple of weeks you could try removing the B2 as it already contained in the B100 complex.
One of the big problems is the ability to absorb magnesium. Often it not sufficient to just take any magnesium supplement. You need to try different types until you find one that is suitable to you.
"when taking magnesium for migraine don't buy a calcium/magnesium blend. If you're taking a calcium supplement, take it at another time of day. It can interfere with the benefits of the magnesium for migraine."
See: So just what is the magnesium migraines connection?
You can also get magnesium form pure cocoa....
"Epidemiological studies have reported that Western diets are often deficient in Mg. We investigated the ability of a cocoa-derived product, used in some European countries as a dietary complement added to milk, to aid recovery from chronic Mg deficiency in rats. The animals were divided into three groups, each of which received a different amount of dietary Mg. Rats in the Mg-deficient (D) group received an Mg-deficient diet (0.225 g Mg/kg food) during 8 weeks. In the cocoa-supplement group (D + CC), the rats consumed the Mg-deficient diet for 5 weeks, and were then switched for 3 further weeks to the same diet supplemented with 3% (wt/wt) cocoa product, so that the Mg content of the diet was 0.27 g/kg food. Rats in the control group (C) were given the same diet as in group D, except that the amount of Mg was 0.56 g Mg/kg food. We measured the concentration of Mg, Ca and P from ten rats in plasma, whole blood, skeletal muscle, heart, kidney and femur in rats that were fed the diets for 35, 42, 49 or 56 days. In animal fed the cocoa-supplemented diet (D + CC) significant improvements were found between days 35 and 56 in the alterations in Mg, Ca and P caused by Mg deficiency in all tissues studied. On day 56, kidney and bone concentrations of Mg and Ca had returned to normal. Our findings show that the habitual use of the cocoa product as a dietary supplement favors correction of the negative effects of long-term feeding with a diet moderately deficient in Mg."
"One very easy method of doing this involves cocoa. I'm not talking chocolate bars like Reeses or Mars or Nestle Crunch, but real baking cocoa. A bar of 80% cocoa works best. Take only a piece of the bar and bite into it; you will feel instant relief and feel better about the world. However, only take a piece. Cocoa at that amount can become very addicting in its own right, so less is definitely more here. That said, the results are great. You feel better, your mood improves and that headache goes away."

February 19, 2009Build a Low cost & simple Magnetic Pulser
Finally, at long last here is an extensive update (of the 2003-08-19 original) that many have been requesting. Some additions are:
- Basic 220/240 Volt AC Circuit.
- A Simple auto pulsing Circuit.
- 12 V DC Operation
- High Power vs low power - discussion
- Polarity of Coil.
- Various other embellishments and updates - that should address many questions in the comments
- Pictures of the Original Device.
- Sites of interest. The full Beck protocol must be followed for the pulser to be effective.... Additionally the Blood electrifier should be modified with an extra battery as this has been found to be better with due to variations in skin thicknesses.
You can access the full Beck protocol via:
Build Your Own, For Almost Free, Electromedical Research Devices. Please read related links in this post also.
Stop all processed foods (this includes all vegetable oils (unrefined cold pressed oils such as organic Fax, olive (uncooked only) for salads, coconut and palm for cooking are the only exceptions) and most milk products, unless raw, rest are all adulterated. No breads unless cultured and made from stone ground grains! - Best to reduce carbohydrates and especially salt (but increase raw and cooked organic vegetables) and no artificial sweeteners. If you want a little sweetener go to totally unprocessed ones such as little unpasteurized honey and cane sugar. Take a little lugols iodine say a drop or two a day - don't overdo it.
Also note: dehydrated patients may not respond well to any type of therapy! Nearly all water has toxins in it! Best to use distilled to which a little magnesium has been added. Better to make herbal teas and/or drink fresh vegetable fruit juices
WARNING: This is an experimental device and uses 110/220/240 Volt AC mains voltage, build at your own peril. If not comfortable, have a someone familiar with electronics like a TV repairman build it for you.

August 22, 2007Cell Phones - Ear, Eye Damage, High Blood Pressure & More!
Further to: Em Fields On Brain Tumor Incidence - Chemicals And Cell Phones ... here is more incriminating data. This adds to the already copious data on the negative harm from EMF (Electro Magnetic Radiation). Just as EMF can help in some instances so can it harm if used inappropriately. The microwave 2.4 mhz as the 60 Hz* mains frequencies are one of the most harm full ones. Surely given the data, using safer frequencies and improving RF design and wiring could do much to improve matters!
* "Adey has also reported that certain frequency bands between 15-60 Hz have been found to promote cancers. Frequencies in this range have been found to alter cell protein synthesis, mRNA functions, immune responses and intercellular communication (Adey, 1992)."Extracted from bottom of page 23 of "The Electrical Properties of Cancer Cells" By: Steve Haltiwanger M.D., C.C.N.
Instead, the dependency of many to follow the loudest industry experts (shills), will either keep most in the dark or allow them to ignore and or deny the vast body of data no matter how strong, until it is too late. Then they will wonder why them should an injury occur???
Thanks to the untiring work of Martin Weatherall and others to keep us abreast of this important and largely avoidable health issue. For this very reason, given that I got along just fine prior to these critters, I have never owned a cell phone even when it was offered free at work. Further all WiFi devices in my home have been disabled and I use the plan old ethernet cable. Seems like refusal to use these devices is the only way to make the industry face this issue hence, forcing them to reduce exposure to all.

So that you know!
CANCER FEAR OVER ELECTRIC BLANKET (Original is here.)Wednesday April 25,2007
Emma Bamford
WOMEN who use electric blankets to keep warm at night could be more at risk of cancer of the womb, according to scientists. They say those who have ever used one are 15 per cent more likely to become victims than those who have not.
But for anyone who has regularly used them for 20 years or more, the risks increase to 36 per cent.
The scientists believe the reason may be that the blankets expose women to low levels of electro-magnetic radiation.
The findings add to the controversy about whether electro-magnetic fields in the home are dangerous.
A recent study found black women who used electric blankets for 10 years had a five times greater risk of breast cancer. But other studies found no such link in white women. Scientists at Wayne State University in Michigan came up with the latest findings after analysing data on 90,000 women.
The results, published in the European Journal of Cancer Prevention, showed 1,500 of them developed a tumour of the womb.
Once they had allowed for other risk factors, such as heavy drinking, being overweight and not having children, the experts found a significant link with the use of electric blankets. Womb cancer affects about 6,000 women every year in the UK, mostly over-50s.
