ANY AMENDMENTS will only be used by the Canadian Medical Association, Big Pharma, and the Canadian Health Food Association, and others to continuing supporting the illegal nazi like behaviour of Health Canada.

I did see the article in the Ottawa citizen, and it seems now that Bill C-420 was so readily & unanimously accepted by all parties, so that the lobbyists (big pharma's interests) can now more easily murder it in Committee by introducing a 3rd catagory for our Natural Supplements. This would allow Health & Wellfare Cda, to subject it to any Directives in the future that it so desires. That is what got us into this mess in the first place. Health Cda, came along in Jan of 04 and moved via directive, (without debate) all our natural supplements into the category of Drugs, based on the fact that Mfgs were making medicinal claims for these products, (putting themselves in the direct line of fire by Big Pharma).
We must now step up the pressure on our MPs to accept bill C-420 in Committee as written, without ammendments, and certainly not to create a 3rd category for them, that will surely be manipulated by Big Pharma for their own interest. (Did anyone see the use of the Media, on the Vit E scare-tactic yesterday, suggesting a reduction to 23IU daily from 400, the basic we all take. Have there been any deaths reported to date from taking your 400 IU vit. E natural Supplements? Will 23 IUs do you any good? We are being manipulated once again and prepared for CODEX introduction, with scare tactics by the powers that be. Soon they will want to take the food out of your mouth! (most people on a healthy diet eat more than this amount of vit. E daily from their food.)
Our Natural Supplements are derived from Foods that Grow & any claims made to making our problems go away, are because they promote Healing, just as quality Foods promote Health & the planet promotes Life (at least it used to). These Natural based food supplements are not Drugs and have no medicinal properties (from an allopathic, patentable point of view). They are sold in Health FOOD stores. They should still be treated as the Foods they are. We do not need a 3rd catagory (that can be manipulated by Big Pharma). They are already foods.
If you cannot pressure your MP personally, pls go to friends of freedom site, and click under the "Blue" banner, to send your personal message to this effect to all Members of Parliament at the same time. Let them know, you do NOT want a 3rd catagory for natural supplements, and you do want the Committee to accept this Bill as presented, without ammendments. Our "Natural Supplements" are Foods. Let's keep them that way! Do it Now.
