The Drug Pushers In Lab Coats

"We no longer have only street pushers to worry about as the image of pushers has changed to white lab coats and nice offices", says Rain.

Prescription drug addiction to anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication can be far more addicting and debilitating that addiction to heroin or cocaine. The withdrawals are recognized by many to be far more difficult, more prolonged, and can last months or years. Yet these drugs are prescribed to millions for every possible life circumstance.

Rain claims over 68 million Americans have used anti-depressants without realizing that many of the adverse effects are identical to illegal drugs. Cross addictions to other drugs and alcohol occurs in 73% of minor tranquilizer users, many of whom never used or had problems with alcohol or other drugs previously."

The devastating and destructive effects of generally toxic drugs, has been a recurrent theme of Share The Wealth site. While the following mainly pertains to psychiatric drugs; it is a validation from a survivor's personal experience and is an extension to the posts and comments cited at the end of this article.

"The use of psychiatric medications has exploded worldwide making antidepressants the 3rd largest selling class of drugs. In 2003, the worldwide sales of antidepressants totaled $19.5 billion, up 10% from the previous year. Current estimates indicate that 40-50% of the American public is taking an antidepressant. This does not include the use of anti-psychotics, anti-anxiety drugs, stimulants or sleeping pills, making the total number of drugged Americans even more staggering.

It is also estimated that 50% of individuals attempting to taper off a psychiatric medication will experience a wide range of withdrawal symptoms that leave many incapacitated and unable to withdraw.

This was certainly the case with Alesandra Rain, one of the co-founders of Label Me Sane. Alesandra was on a cocktail of psychiatric drugs including antidepressants, anti-anxiety drugs and sleeping pills for over ten years and when she quit, the withdrawals nearly killed her. It was in treatment that the seedlings of Label Me Sane were planted, to both educate on the dangers of psychiatric drugs, but also to assist the masses in tapering without the debilitating withdrawals she suffered.

Label Me Sane implements a proven tapering program developed nearly seven years ago by James Harper, the CEO of Global DNA Solutions*, who applied his vast knowledge in DNA to the way in which psychiatric drugs are metabolized in the body as well as a way to support the body with superfoods to minimize the withdrawal process. His program is outlined in the book The Road Back How To Get Off Drugs Safely, and is centered on raising intracellular glutathione levels**, thus reducing the side effects of the drugs and the withdrawals to a minimum. The Road Back Hot To Get Off Drugs Safely has been used successfully for the past six years to assist over 10,000 individuals in withdrawing from psychiatric medications with little to no side effects. It incorporates four specific supplements specifically designed to assist the body and reduce the withdrawal symptoms to a minimum.

For more information on this unique program or availability in physician training seminars, contact Label Me Sane at 866.369.0295 or email info@labelmesane.com."

*The use of DNA testing to find the foods for one's metabolic type is a bit extravagant this can be done far cheaply through metabolic typing or constitutions as the 5000+ year old Ayurvedic medicine did long before all self serving claims that now masquerade as new discoveries...

**One of the best and the most cost effective way of raising intracellular glutathione levels (by far THE best way to enhance liver funtion) is the use of coffee enemas***, extensively used in the Gerson therapy protocol.

Chris Gupta

***Dr. Max Gerson pioneered the use of the coffee enema starting in the 1930s as part of a general detoxification regimen for cancer. Dr. Gerson noted some remarkable effects of this procedure including patients no longer needing pain-killers once on the enemas.

Dr. Lee Wattenberg, MD was able to show that substances found in coffee - kahweol and cafestol palmitate - promote the activity of a key enzyme system, glutathione S-transferase. This enzyme is responsible for neutralizing free radicals, harmful chemicals now commonly implicated in the initiation of cancer and needed for detoxification. Consuming coffee orally does not produce the benefits experienced when it is taken as an enema.

When cells are challenged by poisons, oxygen deprivation, malnutrition or a physical trauma they lose potassium, take on sodium and chloride, and swell up with excess water. This "tissue damage syndrome" makes it easier for cancerous cells to survive. Cells normally have a preference for potassium over sodium but when a cell is damaged it begins to prefer sodium.

This craving results in a damaged ability of cells to repair themselves and to utilize energy. Furthermore, damaged cells produce toxins. Around tumors are zones of "wounded" but still non-malignant tissue, swollen with salt and water. Dr. Gerson believed that cancer could not exist in normal metabolism. He directed his efforts toward creating normal metabolism in the tissue surrounding a tumor

I would like to reply to myself. Boy, did I have it wrong! It turns out that I cannot take the Mood tablets on the Label Me Sane program as they contain anchovy oil which is contra-indicated in the case of the drug Parnate, which I am addicted to. I am just about to start the program again without the Mood and I am assured by Alesandra that it will work this time. I will be taking flaxseed oil as a substitute for Mood. Let me apologise to anybody who I may have put off by my comments. I want everyone who is addicted to these horrific drugs to have a chance to be rid of them. Jan Hassos
