Protect Your Right To Choose Compounded Bio-identical Hormone

Very interesting. It is amazing what politics and marketing can do. Pemarin and Prempro are marketed like Champagne but what they really are is:

--------------------------------

THE FACTS: Recently, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, makers of Premarin® and Prempro®, filed a Citizen’s Petition with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) asking the FDA to impose harmful restrictions on the compounding and dispensing of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). This petition would eliminate the availability of compounded bio-identical hormones, which are prescribed by healthcare providers and prepared by pharmacists, to meet the unique needs of each individual patient.

THE FUTURE: Wyeth’s petition asks for strategic restrictions that, if granted, would put an end to all pharmacy compounding. These restrictions would severely restrict or limit the ability of healthcare providers to treat all of their patients, not just men and women on BHRT. With your help, Wyeth can and must be defeated in its attempt to restrict your right to choose “compounded” medications!

WHAT CAN YOU DO? Time is of the essence! We need 20,000 comments filed with the FDA by April 4, 2006! It is also extremely important that you file your comments with your U.S. Congressional elected officials. Please note that your comments should be in written form sharing your personal experience with bio-identical hormones stating the positive impact it has had on you and your quality of life.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY COMMENTS? Please visit www.womensinternational.com and http://www.citizens.org/preserve-access-to-bhrt. Women’s International Pharmacy working in conjunction with the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP), will link you to the site that is dedicated to protecting BHRT.

We, at Women’s International Pharmacy, thank you for working together with us to fight for freedom and your right, to continue taking bio-identical hormone therapies essential to your health, quality of life!

Please forward this information to any family or friends who would support this effort.

We as women need to have a right to choose what we deem appropriate for each of us. I use all natural products and have found my health inproving. Drugs from the Doctors have not been a cure but a hinderance to my health. I vote to have my choice to use what I feel benefits my NEEDS.

I have used BHTA for over 4 years. At one time I used hormone replacement drugs and had complications. Not so with BHTA's. you really do not won't to take away a women's right to choose what is best for her body. 70,000 doctors and pharmacists can't be all wrong.

I have been very happy with the results from my use of my bio-identical hormones.I am very upset with the FDA trying to stop me from using them they are wrong I have had no problems and have used them for 8yrs. they work great. There have no reports of and bad side effects so why does the FDA want to stop us from using something that has helped so many women

After entering menopause I was placed on Premarin, the biggest garbage ever produced by a drug-company. Within 3 weeks I had gained 20lbs.,was bloated like a pregnant cow, had horrible moodswings, developed numerous lumps in my breasts, and had migraines that drove me almost to the edge of suicide. After a great deal of meditating and searching I found a wonderful doctor. She put me on "Bio-identical Hormones, and, like a miracle, within 6 weeks my debilitating migraines were reduced about 80, my moodswings leveled out, and, like a miracle - the lumps in my breasts disappeared! ~ In other words, after many miserable years of suffering with "Synthetic Garbage" like Premarin, I had my life back again!

Why is the FDA more interested in the health of big pharma than the health of of the citizens of
this country?? They are a totally corrupt entity!!!!!

Response: That's because they are funded by pharma... QED

I suffered for years from menopausal symptoms to numerous to mention all, but the most important one was I could not sleep, and because of it my quality of life was very poor. As soon as I started many years ago, on bi-identical hormones I started sleeping well. It is very upsetting that the FDA lets chemical drug companies try to take womens choice away. The FDA needs to get their money from some other place than chemical drug companies to fund their research. What ever happened to fair competition? The chemical drug companies are lashing out in fear of the competition. Terry Reilley

I used premarin for 23 yrs with miserable side effects and bloating & became estrogen dominent with other health problems. I threw them away in 2000. Was introduced to a couple of natural doctors who were able to introduce me to natural esteroil and natural progesterone. I started feeling better immediately. With all natural products they reduced my cholesterol from 355 to 220, my homocysteine from 13 to .1 and my c-reactive protein from 14 to .1. I owe these women doctors my life. What more can I say.
