CategoriesHere is an opportunity to further this process and do an end run around the corrupt FDA...

---------------------This is amazing, Charlie Brown and the coalition to stop mercury fillings never give up. FDA not only has agreed to rehear the matter of mercury filling but now we have one of us on their panel; this proves in spite of all obstacles perseverance can change things!! This is like the American College Of Heart Surgeons putting me on their board. Please don't hold your breath for that to happen even with Charlie Brown behind it!

In a stunning turnaround of its stonewalling our movement, the Food and Drug Administration appointed a respected mercury-free dentist from Durham, N.C., to its Dental Products advisory panel. Facing heat like it never has to abolish mercury fillings -- including the Moms Against Mercury lawsuit -- FDA changed course. This month, the agency appointed Dr. Michael Fleming, an IAOMT member who is quite knowledgeable about toxics issues.
And just in time: Dr. Fleming will sit on the Dental Products Panel at the upcoming FDA hearings on the neuro-toxicity of mercury, to be held Sept. 6 and 7 in a Washington DC suburb - he'll be there to listen to our testimony!
With this appointment, Mike Fleming becomes the most important dentist in the nation today. He will sit amongst a hostile, pro-ADA group of dentists who were appointed to hold the line on mercury fillings - but they must now realize a dissenter is in their midst. When they move into secret session, they can no longer shut out the idea of mercury-free dentistry - one of its advocates will be right there in the room. Perhaps, at long last, these ADA dentists will realize it's in the best interest of the dental profession to abolish mercury fillings immediately.
What you can do:
1) Write Dr. Mike Fleming with your ideas and support: mikeF@nc.rr.com
2) Come to the FDA hearings Sept. 6 and 7, whether to speak or just support the cause. If interested, write us, info@toxicteeth.org
3) Submit comments to the FDA here.
4) Write your two Senators and Member of Congress to insist that FDA abolish mercury fillings. Go to here.Charlie Brown, 7/20/06
