Make Your Own Ginger Tea As A Caffeine Substitute
CategoriesFurther to Dietary Cure for Prostatitis which discusses the healing of several afflictions by the removal of caffeine for following is a great substitute for Tea and Coffee!
"One of the most satisfying remedies for coughs, colds, and flu is homemade ginger tea. In addition to helping break up mucus, ginger is a potent diaphoretic, meaning it stimulates perspiration and warms the body from the inside. It is also a well-studied gastrointestinal tonic that helps relieve nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Ginger is rich in zinc, perhaps the most important mineral for bolstering immune function, to boot. Zinc can help fight viruses directly by boosting levels of immune-enhancing hormones that enhance the activity of white blood cells.
To make a therapeutic ginger tea, grind a one-inch slice of fresh ginger, squeeze the juice of half a lemon, and add to a cup of steaming hot water along with 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (like ginger, it is a diaphoretic). If you don't have any fresh ginger, use 3/4 teaspoon of powdered ginger instead."

Ginger tea can also provide comfort for your sore, irritated throat.
Ginger is considered an important anti-pain and anti-inflammation food in the very old Ayurvedic system of medicine in India.
My favourite tea is as follows:
1 crushed cardamom per cup
1 crushed clove per cup
Cinnamon stick to taste (can substitute for sweetener)
slice of fresh organic ginger
Bay leaf (optional)Boil water and pour over ingredients steep for 5 minutes for stronger taste bring to boil once before steeping
