The Rath Cancer Protocol
CategoriesI must add that typical immune damaging assaults such as Chemo and related toxic drugs will do nothing to improve the long term survival rate...

Input from a list member:Dr Matthius Rath, uses the nutrient combination of vitamin C, the amino-acids L-lysine and L-proline, and Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG - a polyphenol extract from green tea) and has found these to be very effective in the treatment of a wide variety of human cancers, including those of the skin, liver, breast, prostate, colon, lung and brain. See: Natural Eradication of Cancer There is no reason why they should not also be effective in the treatment of Soft Tissue Sarcoma.
I believe that the daily doses used by Dr. Rath and his team in the treatment of cancer are in the region of 6g (6000mg) of vitamin C, 6g (6000mg) of L-lysine, 3g (3000mg) of L-proline and 1g (1000mg) of EGCG.
A high-dose multivitamin and mineral supplement would also be a good idea; something along the lines of the Life Extension Foundation's Life Extension mix would be excellent. Many cancer patients have high blood levels of the mineral copper however, and so a multivitamin and mineral supplement that does not include copper might be preferable
Cancer patients are often found to be deficient in the mineral selenium, and so whichever multivitamin and mineral supplement you choose should include a daily dose of at least 200ug (micrograms) of selenium. Similarly, cancer patients are often found to be deficient in folic acid and vitamin B12. It is therefore worth ensuring that the multivitamin and mineral supplement includes a dose of between 400-800ug (micrograms) of folic acid and at least 500ug (micrograms) of vitamin B12. Vitamin E has also been found to be useful in the treatment of cancer, and ensuring a daily dose of at least 400iu would be a good idea. The Life Extension mix includes all of these nutrients at the correct doses.
Beta-carotene has also been found to be effective in the treatment of a wide variety of human cancers at a daily dose of at least 25,000iu (equivalent to 15mg). Not very many multivitamin and mineral supplements include as much beta-carotene as this, and so it will be necessary to purchase it separately.
There have also been several studies indicating that very large doses of fish-oils can inhibit some cancers - suggesting that some cancer patients are deficient in the Omega-3 fatty acids. Adding a fish-oil supplement containing EPA and DHA may also therefore be useful.
I hope that this is helpful Amber. By all means let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,

Hello,
My name is Amber, and my fiance is very ill with a soft tissue sarcoma. We don't have much hope, because the doctors here at Huntsman Cancer Institue in Salt Lake City aren't giving us much. He has been through so much in his life. He had Hodgkins at the age of 9 and June of 2002 he was diagnosed with a Soft Tissue Sarcoma that was radiation induced from his childhood cancer. He has been through Chemotherapy and radiation and now we are trying a different type of Chemotherapy. Actually tomorrow we get the results to see if this Chemo is doing anything. He has been through many surgeries and it just keeps coming back.
We have heard of pawpaw, and was wondering you or anyone else we could contact has an opinion on this. We are very desperate to find out if there is any type of alternative treatments we can try. He is only 25 years old and is scared to death of the outcome. He belives it is not his time to go yet. So we are trying anything possible.
Please help!
We would really like to know your opinion on pawpaw or anything else like that.
Thank you,
