HIV/AIDS Nutritional Supplement Donation Initiative
CategoriesSadly, this initiative does not include Selenium, a key ingredient, hopefully will could be supplied separately until such time the formulation is upgraded. The Fawzi study mentioned below might have had a significantly stronger outcome had this not been overlooked...

Hello Chris,Let me introduce myself, my name is Rana Singh ND, I am a Naturopathic Physician practicing in Toronto. I am also a fellow University of Waterloo alumni member. I have been following your website and newsletter for some time. As a natural health practitioner, I am very impressed with the information and I commend you for the work you are doing!
I am writing to you for assistance in getting the word out about a fantastic humanitarian effort to get nutritional supplements to people with HIV/AIDS around the world. As you are aware, several research studies confirm the efficacy of supplementation in HIV infected individuals. Our mission is to raise money to get high quality multivitamins in the hands of people who desperately need it everywhere around the world through a donation program. All donations provide a tax receipt that is fully tax deductible in CANADA. Would you be so kind to review the materials I am sending, and if you see fit, send some information out to your mailing list in the hopes of raising money for this wonderful cause.
Here is a brief summary of our endeavors:
Destiny Health and Wellness is launching a fantastic campaign to benefit HIV positive individuals. Destiny has developed a multivitamin specifically designed to boost the immune system of individuals who have contracted the HIV virus.
In our campaign to Change Lives Around the World, we are working with Charitable Organizations, Health Professionals, Corporations and Concerned Individuals who are committed to work with us in the fight against HIV/AIDS. These groups and individuals are seeking donations that will send our AIDS Formula to individuals around the World who are stricken with the HIV virus. Our primary goal is to providing 1 million people with our Multivitamin by Dec. 1, 2005 - World AIDS Day. 1 GOAL is the best way to challenge ourselves to make the contribution we should be making to the global effort against HIV/AIDS.
Our initial goal is to raise $250,000 to send our Multivitamin to affected individuals in St.Lucia on Dec 6th, 2004. The Caribbean has one of the highest growth rates for HIV and AIDS in the World, and they need our help. Here is how the program works:
- A Donor makes a commitment to donate a fixed amount to a Registered Charity.- A $60 donation purchases 1 bottle of Destinys Multivitamin (3 month supply) at cost. 1 bottle of the Multivitamin will help one individual suffering from HIV for 3 months.
- An annual donation of $240 will provide an individual with the Multivitamins for 1 year. The Registered Charity issues a tax receipt to the Donor (tax deductible).
- Destiny will deliver the Multivitamins to St. Lucia on December 6th , 2004.
- People infected with HIV/AIDS will be provided with nutrients to help them cope and improve the quality of their lives.
This initiative is ongoing and any donations made after Dec 6th, 2004 will be used to provide the supplement to people in need around the world and in Canada. I am attaching:
You will note that the formulation, unfortunately does not contain selenium. The formula does contain high doses of Vit E, C, and B complex (including the methyl form of B12). I began consulting with the company after the product was already manufactured. They initially designed the formula as a potent version of what was used in many clinical studies, primarily the Fawzi study published in the July 1, 2004 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine. I have lobbied very hard for the inclusion of selenium and Destiny will most likely include a good dose of selenium in future batches!
Please review all the information and contact me at your earliest convenience. Time is of the essence as we would like to make good on our Dec.6, 2004 goal to provide the multivitamin to the people of the St. Lucia. If you are agreeable, I will send you donation forms that you can distribute to help this fantastic cause.
Could you also forward this to Sepp Hasslberger.
Please contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or comments on this project.
Thank you in advance for you time and consideration.
Yours in Health,
Rana Singh ND
