Millions Join Ranks of High Cholesterol Patients
CategoriesThis letter sent to editor of the Olympian, local newspaper by Joseph Hattersley pretty much sums it up. Sadly many are going to be duped by the escalating statin drug scam. The push to provide these over the counter and the lowering of cholesterol threshold levels is just some marketing tricks at the expense of our health.

-----------------------Bad LDL cholesterol must now be lowered below 90,[i] turning millions of healthy people into profitable drug-taking patients. Now, why would God give us LDLs if they only kill us?[ii] LDLs serve the necessary function, particularly for elderly people, of strengthening immunity,[iii] partly by carrying needed antioxidants such as vitamins C, E, A and B6[iv] [v] out to the artery walls.
Given adequate thyroid hormone, LDL-cholesterol converts to the anti-aging steroids pregnenolone, progesterone and DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone). These are required to help prevent heart disease, senility, obesity, cancer and other chronic degenerative diseases of aging.[vi] LDL cholesterol also produces sex hormones and much more.
Further, our LDL cholesterol is perfectly safe until we expose it to oxygen. That fact was discovered in the 1970s.[vii] But Scientific Medicine never liked the discovery, and so the doctors simply ignore the truth. LDLs get exposed to oxygen in several ways.[viii] The most common is through already oxidized food that we put into our mouths.[ix] A second is through the metabolic conversion of the essential amino acid methionine.[x]
Statin drugs, which millions may be asked to take, can inflict disastrous long-term worsening of health on patients. The HMG co-A reductase mechanism they use is the same bodily machinery that converts LDL cholesterol into vitamin-like Coenzyme Q10. Written up in the Physicians' Desk Reference, CoQ10 is the best preventive of congestive heart failure.[xi] [xii] The PDR states it is essential for the health of all human tissues and organs. CoQ10 also cures life-threatening cancers[xiii] and much more.
