Investigation Shows Chiron, Officials In NZ Vaccine 'Meningococcal Gold Rush'
Vaccine maker Chiron Corporation, the same company that had to throw out its production of flu vaccine for the US market, cutting vaccine supplies for this year's flu season in half, is now involved, together with the New Zealand Health Ministry, in a murky rush to vaccinate over a million children in New Zealand. The pharmaceutical giant had tried to market the same vaccine in Norway before, but Norwegian health authorities decided it was not effective and the costs were excessive.
In what appears to be a PR spin campaign based on fraudulent science, the roll out of an untested vaccine has been justified to the New Zealand public by distorted figures of disease incidence and infection trends and by false assurances of efficacy and safety. What is promoted as a public health measure appears more like a 200-million-dollar "gravy train" for the pharma manufacturer and no doubt some of the officials involved.
Ron Law and Barbara Burstyn Sumner investigated. They say that

"Not only has the Ministry of Health, via the Minister of Health, misinformed Cabinet, but Ministry of Health facts relating to alleged effectiveness of the MeNZB(tm) vaccine have been exaggerated and manipulated to assist a good-news spin machine," says Barbara Sumner Burstyn.
"Furthermore," says Barbara, "informed consent would appear to have been withheld from parents and guardians who were unaware aware that Chiron was undertaking what appears to be unapproved trials of their meningococcal C vaccine that is not licensed for use in New Zealand nor the USA."
Not only has the Minister been misinformed by the Ministry of Health, her staff clearly have never checked validity of Ministry claims.
New Zealand's meningococcal vaccine story, as unravelled through analysis of previously secret documents obtained under the Official Information Act, reveals that the New Zealand government, media and public have been mislead and manipulated by officials, advisors and scientists alike.
As a result of this manipulation, the government has committed an unprecedented 200 million taxpayer dollars to a mass vaccination experiment of 1.15 million New Zealand children with an untested and experimental vaccine.
"Despite being reassured by a bevy of pro-vaccine and vaccine manufacturer sponsored experts and none-less than the Minister of Health herself that the MeNZB(tm) vaccine is thoroughly tested and proven to be safe and effective, we reveal that Chiron's MeNZB(tm) vaccine was never used in the trails used to approve its license," says Ron Law. "We reveal that despite assurances, there is no evidence that the MeNZB(tm) vaccine will actually work as promised."
We believe that the magnitude of policy, regulatory and scientific misconduct is such that not only should vaccination with this vaccine be halted forthwith, but that the meningococcal vaccination program should be independently audited and the circumstances surrounding the development and implementation of the program subjected to a full Royal Commission of Inquiry.
