Don't risk a World War!

Monday, 16 June 2003 - Dr. Mathias Rath, in a paid advertisement in the London Daily Telegraph, is appealing to both President Bush and Prime Minister Blair to not use weapons of mass destruction and to avoid risking a conflict that could lead to a new World War.

"Before, during and after the Iraq war I raised my voice repeatedly in the New York Times and other international newspapers to unmask the corporate agenda behind this war. I believe my warnings have been confirmed.

On behalf of the people of the world I call upon President Bush and Prime Minister Blair - whatever they have done - not to trigger the unthinkable and risk a world war."

Matthias Rath, M.D.

The people of the world are concerned about the international crisis that continues after the war with Iraq and the possibility of its escalation into a world war. In addition, now we learn that George Bush and Tony Blair may have deceived the people of America, Great Britain and the world about weapons of mass destruction allegedly being the main reason to attack Iraq.

Now the British Parliament and US Congress are demanding an official independent investigation to establish the facts. In addition, high-ranking politicians and members of their own administrations are publicly raising doubts and even making accusations.

If the Bush and Blair administrations did not lie to the public, they have nothing to fear. However, if they in fact lied and manipulated the evidence - even in front of the United Nations - they could face impeachment and other legal consequences.

Watergate and similar historic situations teach us, that, in this situation - far from allowing an independent Congressional investigation - politicians are very tempted to immediately and at all costs stop any further investigation into this matter.

If the Bush and Blair administration lied to the world, they would need three things - and they would need them right now:

1. An event that immediately takes away public attention from the discussion about their deception of the people in the
USA, Great Britain and the world.

2. An event that would retrospectively justify their war against Iraq and their crusade against weapons of mass destruction.

3. An event that could be blamed on 'terrorists' to further justify the escalation of international tensions.

There is only one event that would accomplish all these goals: The detonation of a nuclear bomb or another weapon of mass destruction somewhere in the world.

The people of the world ask pressing questions at this critical moment in history, when the entire credibility of the Bush and Blair administration - as well as their corporate supporters - are at stake:

- Is it a coincidence that at this very moment - on June 3 - the US and UK secret services issued warnings that Al-Qaida is planning attacks with 'mininukes'?

- Is it a coincidence that at this very moment - on June 4 - the US Under-Secretary of State John Bolton 'does not rule out' pre-emptive strikes against a list of countries? According to the new US military doctrine, this includes the use of weapons of mass destruction.

Before, during and after the Iraq war I raised my voice repeatedly in the New York Times and other international newspapers to unmask the corporate agenda behind this war. I believe my warnings have been confirmed.

On behalf of the people of the world I call upon President Bush and Prime Minister Blair - whatever they have done - not to trigger the unthinkable and risk a world war.

As the physician and scientist who champions the cause for the use of natural, non-patentable therapies. Dr. Rath has repeatedly stated his belief that the largest corporate benefactor of the current international crisis is the pharmaceutical industry.

The multi-trillion dollar pharmaceutical investment industry has been unmasked as a business that promises 'health' but is driven by profits and patents. I believe the survival of this global industry now depends upon industry protection laws, implemented world wide. These cannot be accomplished during peace time, but only during an international crisis or a world war..

President Bush and Prime Minister Blair:

Do not risk the use of weapons of mass destruction!

Do not risk a conflict that could trigger a world war!

If the goals described above are true you must realize that you can no longer achieve them because the world is watching.

My Turn
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

The war in Iraq, specifically America's role of leadership in this war, is a painful invitation to ask ourselves what, if anything, we've learned from previous wars. I, like you, am revolted by the brutal killing of hundreds of thousands of innocent people during any war. And, like you, I'm saddened by the apparent inability of human beings to find less violent solutions to conflict and terrorism. What can we learn from previous wars? Are there lessons from past experiences that can help reduce or minimize the likelihood of excessive and unnecessary destruction and devastation of lives and countries, and our future on Earth? I believe the answer is yes! We can learn, and there are lessons available.

Defensive militaries, war mongering, and national defense

No, the Iran Oil Bourse is not a casus belli...
by F. William Engdahl
A number of writings have recently appeared with the thesis that the announced plans of the Teheran government to institute a Teheran Oil Bourse, perhaps as early as this month, is the real hidden reason behind the evident march to war on Iran from the Anglo-American powers. The thesis is in our opinion mistaken for many reasons, not the least, that war on Iran has been in planning since the 1990's, as an integral part of the US Greater Middle East strategy.

A Third American War Crime in the Making
On March 30 [2008], the Russian News & Information Agency, Novosti, cited "a high-ranking security source: "The latest military intelligence data point to heightened US military preparations for both an air and ground operation against Iran."

According to Novosti, Russian Colonel General Leonid Ivashov said "that the Pentagon is planning to deliver a massive air strike on Iran's military infrastructure in the near future."

Iran is a beautiful and developed country. It is an ancient civilization. It has attacked no one. Iran is a signatory to the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty. Iran is permitted by the treaty to have a nuclear energy program. The Bush Regime's case against Iran is based on the Bush Regime's desire to deny Iran its rights under the treaty.

War Is A Racket By Major General Smedley Butler - Free book on the net
For those having difficulty believing Dr. Rath's comments, regarding the connections between war, energy and pharmaceuticals, this book should help put some prospective on these convoluted ties. This book written in the mid 1930's is a must read as it succinctly shows the real reason behind war and is every bit applicable today (adjusted to $ value) as it was then. It is such a clear demonstration of exploitation our... [read more]

Will Oil End War Economy?
In what seems to be a thinly veiled threat for the US dollar's hegemony and thus for US world domination, Russian president Vladimir Putin has said that Russia might switch its trade in oil from dollars to euros. Austrian doctor Eva-Maria Hobiger writes about her visit to Iraq after the end of the war there. If you want peace, prepare for peace...
This article was first posted as a contribution to Bloggers Parliament. The specific problem addressed here is the existence of nuclear weapons which are wholly unsuited for warfare in our planetary environment. The solution is not... [read more]
